Mining Equipment Parts and Fabrication in Perth

Mining operations and the businesses that support them need steel parts that are cut accurately and delivered when the shutdown or repair window is open. United Metals Laser laser cuts and fabricates mining equipment parts from our Malaga workshop, for maintenance teams, OEMs, fabricators and suppliers across Perth and Western Australia.

Mining equipment parts we cut and fabricate

  • Wear plates, liners and chute parts in Hardox and other wear plate
  • Brackets, base plates, flanges and mounting plates up to 40mm thick
  • Guards, covers, platforms, handrails and access steel
  • Replacement parts cut to your drawing, or from a sample if you have no drawing (our 3D modelling and design service can draw it up)
  • Frames and assemblies using tube laser cut SHS, RHS, CHS, angle and channel up to 350mm diameter and 9m long

Maintenance support and repeat parts

Once a part has been drawn and cut, we can keep your program and cut it again when you need more, so repeat orders do not need to be reworked. Tell us the date you need parts at quote stage and we will confirm what is possible. Typical turnaround is 2 to 3 working days.

Cut, fold, weld and machine in one workshop

Parts are laser cut, folded, welded and machined in the same workshop, so you can order a finished component instead of coordinating several suppliers. See also industrial steel fabrication and mild steel laser cutting.

Industrial areas we support

We work with workshops and suppliers in Kewdale, Welshpool, Maddington, Canning Vale, Midland, Wangara, Kwinana and across the Perth industrial areas. See all areas we serve.

Email your DXF or PDF drawings to quotes@unitedmetalslaser.com.au with the material, thickness and quantity, or call (08) 6162 6260. We are open Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm at 7 Irvine Drive, Malaga. Typical turnaround is 2 to 3 working days.

Materials we weld

We weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. MIG is our workhorse for steel fabrication, and TIG is used where a neat finish or thin material calls for it.

Typical welding jobs

  • Brackets, frames and stands
  • Machine guards and enclosures
  • Tube and pipe assemblies cut on our tube laser
  • Plate assemblies from laser cut parts
  • Repairs and modifications

Why weld where your parts are cut

Laser cut parts have accurate holes, slots and tabs that locate parts for welding, so assemblies go together square with less fixturing. Tell us at quote stage if the weld needs to meet a specific standard or inspection requirement, so we can confirm what we can supply.
